Savage

DJ Savage Henry has put together a truly atrocious mix. Included are some of the heaviest drops known to Dubstep, with each track melded together through creatively sound mixing.
Over an hour long, the mix explores the heavy side of the genre in its entirety.

Dubstep is like an addictive drug. Immediate pleasure is exchanged for the slow deterioration of the ears and mind. It leaves you fiending the overwhelming bassline.

Not restricted to Dubstep alone, Savage Henry is sharing huge beats with Adelaide.

SKRILLEX EP

I was a bit sceptical about downloading this EP after seeing a post about it on Deadmau5's
facebook page, but I can safely say this is something any electro, nu disco, dubstep, wobble fan should download. I can't even completely classify this EP into any particular subgenre as he blends the best elements into a melting pot of glorious, heavy, glitchy, breakbeat noise, which proves that there is still hope left for producers to redefine the typical approach to electronic music. The best part of this? The whole EP is 100% free!!

Study Break

Guns and Horses... and Dubstep. DJ Wire has successfully combined Ellie Goulding's vocals alongside dubstep drops. This can often sound too busy, but Wire has executed it well! It is a delicious drop.
Ellie Goulding has received a lot of dubstep attention lately, so I have posted Jakwob's 'Starry Eyed' remix below. This has been a favourite of mine for a long time. Beware DJs, this song is at 150 BPM, not the typically renowned 140BPM Dubstep tempo. Both of these remixes are big.

Flux Pavillion is at it again, this time destroying the DJ Fresh track 'Gold Dust'. This song moves from fresh to filth. Flux Pavillion is on top of the Dubstep game at the moment, keep an eye out for any new releases.

Gold Dust (Flux Pavillion Remix) - DJ Fresh

Edit: I was going to do a whole post on up comer Flux Pavillion, but a Study Break is a more than adequate way to introduce the South London brewed dubsteppa who recently entered the game in 2008. For someone relatively new into the scene he has certainly made his mark, keep an eye out for Flux Pavillion, because he is definitely one to watch in 2010. It looks like you'll have to extend that 'Study Break' though because here are a few more tracks to butcher your brain. Pce, Shifty.

Let these beats distract your study for a few minutes.. I know you're looking for any excuse.

The Drop

Big remix from Dem Slackers has put them back in the game! This has a very middle-eastern cobra flute feel.. it is mesmerizing. Then the drop hits, waking you into a trembling body spasm. Play this loud to let the distorted bass vibrate your entire skeletal structure.

Fifty What (Dem Slackers Remix) - Sandro Silva and Andjiro Rijo

Playing dutch house around society will only bring concerns of ecstacy addiction. Do not play the next track around parents or guardians. Beataucue is a disgrace to mankind.. Some kind of animal (most likely a wolf with downsyndrome) is creating fucked up background yelps behind the drop, and the beeping buildups are out of this world. I would end up on the ground if I heard this on a dancefloor.

Wolves - Beataucue

Fukkk Offf's 'Rave is King' has been around for ages, but this new remix is extremely different. Chilled out, yet mind destroying if required. The videogame-ish drop at 130 is extemely catchy, and the second drop adds warm synth sounds to create a party banger. Alcohol, Drugs, Overdrive, Noise, Neon Lights, Party People. Can you feel it?

Rave is King (Nujax Remix) - Fukkk Offf

I thought some lyrics were needed...
Wob (x16), wob (x8), WOB (x4), wob, wob, whmmm.
Wob (x16), wob (x8), WoB (x4), woB (x4).
Wob (x16), wob (x8), WOB (x4), wob, wob, whmmm.
You gon get stolen on if you don’t get with the program.

Progressive Sunday Sessions..

Everyone know's just how the next day after a big night out feels, and loud, jarring music does not help in any way. Luckily there are many genre's which suit these very situations, one of my favourite being Progressive House. These types of tracks are not only great to listen to when you're in the mood to relax, but they also double as extremely uplifting, euphoria inducing melodies.

One of my favourite Artists in the game is EDX, who has numerous progressive remixes to his name as well as many original tracks. Below is his newest remix of Benny Benassi's 'Spaceship', as well as some of my old favourite's :

EDIT: All Links removed by Request!

Benny Benassi ft Kelis - Spaceship (EDX's Dubai Skyline Remix)

EDX - Party of Politics

Passenger 10 - Mirage (EDX's Sunshine Remix)

and my personal old time favourite, get it now if you haven't ever heard it!!

Dubfire - Roadkill (EDX's Acapulco at Night Remix) (Highly Recommended)

Axwell is a well known name in the house music scene, being one of the members of the infamous Swedish House Mafia. Aside from his collaborations with the House Mafia, he is busy with his own stellar productions and massive record label, Axtone Records.
I stumbled across a song on his record label a while back that I was immediately obsessed with and have been counting down the days until it was released! It's finally arrived and I'm happy to post it here.

Adrian Lux - Teenage Crime (Highly Recommended)

Speaking of the Swedish House Mafia, one of their most recent releases has been dominating the Beatport Progressive House Charts...and for a very good reason...check it out for yourself:

Swedish House Mafia - One (Epic)

I now leave you with a Progressive House Mix, by Adelaide DJ, 'Mellow D'. If you're looking for a well crafted blend of Progressive melodies, look no further as this mix will take you on a journey through a variety of sounds and artists, and definitely deserves a spot on your Ipod.

Enjoy.
